Jonathan Ma

I am a forth year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. degree in physics at the University of California, Berkeley. I have been doing research on noval materials and I utilize the technique of Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy to interogate the electronic structure of condensed matter systems. Most of my time is spent on data analysis, mostly images of some sort.

Born in Sydney, Australia and raised in Hong Kong, I am currently residing in Berkeley, California.

Since I do a lot of data analysis and programming (and of course, writing) for my studies, I do run some data analysis or programming side projects. They are fun and sometimes useful!

Bike-a-Spot

Finding a spot to park our bikes is not as easy as it sounds. Especially when you’re biking to an unfamiliar place where you have no idea where the closest bike parking is. Bike-a-Spot marks all the bike parking nearby. If you’re planning your next urban bike trip, looking for the right place to park you bike, Bike-a-Spot shows your bike parking around your destination. Actually it goes beyond that–we virtually take you to the area to inspect the parking spots on your phone before you reach there. Taking no chances.
